
Thanks to the Leeds Grenville Health Unit and OPP’s Bicycle Rodeo, young cyclists in Mississippi Mills are riding around with fitted helmets and better knowledge of the rules of the road.
The kick-off street party was the place to be on Friday night. OPP David Bird led the parade on a police bike, followed by a piper on the back of a tandem. The street was abuzz with bike games for young and old, drumming, singing and guitar playing.
Bicycle Polo Tournament a Great Success
The atmosphere was friendly, but the competition was tough as teams from as far as Montreal competed in Mississippi Mills’ first bicycle polo tournament. The town hall parking lot echoed with clacks of plastic mallets and cheers of interested spectators. Read all about it here.
