Bike Rodeo

flyer-bike-rodeo

What will happen at a bike rodeo? The local OPP officers and Leeds, Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit Public Health Nurses will be on hand with community volunteers. The Public Health Nurses will review helmet safety with the parent and child: what to look for, proper alignment and fitting of the helmet. This needs to be done each time the helmet is put on. The OPP officers will have drills for the children to do while riding their bicycles. It will require bicycling skill, demonstrating the rules of traffic and safety. There will also be resources and prizes available.
