Critical Mass Ride 2010 – Riders Crisscross the Town

criticalmassride2010Over 25 cyclists of all ages took to the streets of Mississippi Mills to celebrate the freedom of the bike. For an hour and a half, riders crisscrossed the town for a 16-km round trip through downtown, subdivisions, waterfront, parkland and a few spins around the roundabout. With no set route or designated leader, riders followed or led, chatted, and enjoyed the calm cool evening. High points of the ride (literally, thanks to  a GPS) were the traffic circle and the corner of Martin and Carss Street; the low point was the bottom of Mill Street. One curious onlooker, an osprey at Snedden Casey Park, seemed a bit upset by the mass of equally curious cyclists.
