Begin your ride at Palms (78 Mill St., Almonte) with a cup of Equator coffee and one of Sally’s morning goodies. If you are arriving by car there is plenty of parking on the market square behind Palms.
This ride takes you north to the hamlet of Blakeney, then across the Mississippi to the Mill of Kintail Conservation Area, before returning to Almonte. Visit the viewing platform near Auld Kirk at the Almonte sewage lagoons as mentioned in “A Bird-Finding Guide to Ontario.”
