Our New Look

square-posterWe at Bicycle Month headquarters are thrilled to roll out our shiny new poster featuring a painting by Almonte artist Rosemary Leach. MMBM chair Jeff Mills has had Rosemary’s painting stuck in his thoughts from Day One of Bicycle Month planning. “It’s like a beautiful musical melody,” Mills says of Leach’s painting of a blue two-wheeler on a Clayton porch. “I can’t get it out of my head.

“It’s a perfect piece of art to start our first Bicycle Month.”

Bill Barrie, a Bicycle Month volunteer and owner of the painting, is lending it to the Mill Street Gallery for an exhibit of bicycle-themed art that will run for the month June. The painting will hang alongside work from many local artists in the “Bicycle Show.” Posters, designed by Almonte graphic artist George Birchall, will start to pop up around the region.

Have a look at more of Rosemary’s work here … and see you in Mississippi Mills in June!
